Over this past weekend, I hosted a very special event at my garden in collaboration with friends for a pair of 1st time parents. Celebrating the much anticipated arrival of a little boy by the name of Christopher! Forgive me, I am sort of bias toward little girls so I wasn’t thrill (sorry, R&D.) when they told me they are having a boy (baby Chris, Auntie Vi luv u!). I didn't feel too enthusiastic about throwing a shower. However, after months of brainwash, I started accepting the fact that boys are just as cute although I can’t stop shopping in the baby girl’s section....it is my subconscious....
Every party has a theme, this shower is no exception. Mei@Mints came up with the beach/ocean theme; refreshing, colorful and playful. Many thanks to Mei for supplying the table setting and centerpieces; it was awesome. She never failed to impress. Check out her other work !
Foods were provided by our circle of friends. Fusion style! I think people starved themselves before coming over so I was lucky I caught a glimpse of the food before they are gone. Don’t they look scrumptious? I was assigned the job of making desserts and was requested by a guest to make panna cotta. I also made mango flavor jelly cups from store bought pre-mixed package with homemade Chantilly crème. For the panna cotta recipe, click here.
A good party is never complete without great companies! The guests are the key and life of the party. I can't thank everyone enough for making this party the success it was. You guys are the best!
